NOVEMBER 2020 REAL ESTATE MARKET UPDATE

The Canmore real estate market has continued to thrive through the fall with sales remaining strong in September and setting another record in October. Last month broke the July record for the most sales transactions in a month ever in the Canmore market. November is already showing sales that are similar to October and is approaching record-setting territory.

Some of our clients continue to experience multiple offers on the sale of their home with some sales complete before a home reaches the market. Contact Barry and Jack to ensure you are in the know and receiving the latest opportunities and developments in the market.

With pent up demand, low interest rates, high visitation, and the effects of COVID-19 fuelling the market, activity and sales look to flourish through to the end of the year.

COVID-19 continues to produce new buyers; some have learned they have the ability to work from anywhere and are no longer required to visit an office, choosing to move permanently to Canmore while others are cashing out of the U.S real estate market and selecting a second home in Canmore to avoid border travel logistics and other issues. Others are expediting their planned move to Canmore or are choosing to move to Canmore to not only enjoy all the Bow Valley offers but to leave areas of high density for a smaller community.

With this in mind, we expect the Canmore real estate market to remain very strong and active through the remainder of the year as buyers now focus on purchasing property and taking possession prior to Christmas to enjoy the holiday season and beyond in Canmore.
