REAL ESTATE MARKET UPDATE

The fall selling season is upon us in the Bow Valley! Although listing inventory has slowly increased throughout the year, it stabilized through late summer and has decreased slightly due to the increase of sales through September and the first half of October. Segments of the market that are popular with buyers, such as entry level townhomes under $700,000, hotel condos and South Canmore/Downtown properties, have created low inventory in those categories and areas resulting in price increases. Prices are stabilizing in sub-markets such as condos in Three Sisters Mountain Village due to the volume of new construction inventory in that neighbourhood. The market is expected to remain quite active through to the middle of December at which time activity will slow due to holidays.
